Certain factors indicate I may be getting a demotion come January. Nothing set in stone just a feeling I get. Funny thing is, If I go back to my last pay grade I'll be on hourly and earning more per year then at my current position. Since on salary I'm expected to work like 90 hours a week with no Overtime. Timing really sucks, in the summer we has long hours and I was on salary, in the winter short hours on hourly. So if it does happen I will politely ask for retroactive overtime pay for the last year, if for no other reason I can watch my boss die laughing.

If you can't do the time don't do the crime. The ToS clearly state that
abusing an exploit may result in the termination of your account. Some people
argue that since SoE is so secretive about content there was no way to tell
if the Salvage Dupe was a glitch or intentional. Well in that case rather than
risk a banning i would recommend calling a GM. The fact that this exploit resulted
from an error on SoE's part is irrelevant. Case in point, say I forget to lock my
house before I leave for work one morning. That would be really stupid on my part, however, that would not mean it's ok for someone to waltz in and steal my TV. Ok maybe that's a little far fetched, dupers aren't 'stealing' anything so lets look at it a different way. Say i leave the keys in my car. If someone were to 'borrow' it and return it in the same condition
that would still be stealing.
All in all SoE should be commended on the actions they took. They took the time to
review a whole years worth of logs and lost more money from the accounts that were banned. This was all done for the purpose of balance, this way people who have salvage gear know they have earned it. Salvage Dupers are as bad as NM botters and flee hackers and the game is better off without them.

Are you fucking kidding me? A car is not a Pixleated item that exist in a virtual world. The car anology fails all the more when you consider that we pay for this game every month.
In order to make that analogy work at all, one would have to step even further outside of
the bounds of logic and imagine an even more convoluted scenario. It would be more like, a Taxi cab we hire to go from point A to point B. Said taxi charges us by the mile so we
might expect it to take the shortest fucking route possible. But with SoE at the helm, we find ourselves driving all over gods creation before arriving at our destination. So we discover that this Drunken taxi service can be made slightly more efficient, but now the driver kicks us out for trying to save time and money.
As far as the balance issue goes, I have witnessed many players getting warnings for
using 3rd party 'windower' software. Prolly 90% of PC endgamers continue to use this 'cheat'
even after FFXI was made 'windowable'. Well, windowers cheat ever second they are logged in.
This effects every aspect of their playing, yet even with proof (ie, search comments with Japanese text on NA accounts) players often get a warning. Should all the HNMls that killed Fafnir have their accounts banned for abusing a THIRD PARTY PROGRAM that ALTERS THE WAY THE GAME IS PLAYED? All in all, these actions seem arbitrary and capricious. If you plan on enforcing the rules, they should be the same for everyone.
